On July 13, 2021 the short film “Farmscape Ecology” screened as part of the Churchtown Dairy “Films in the Round Barn” series. “Farmscape Ecology” highlights the work of our Applied Farmscape Ecology Program. The event, which drew a large crowd, followed with a panel discussion featuring filmmaker Jon Bowermaster (Oceans 8 Filmsproduced the film) and wildlife ecology researchers Conrad Vispo and Claudia Knab-Vispo of Hawthorne Valley Farm. Vispo and Knab-Vispo are members of the Applied Farmscape Ecology Research Collaborative and are also the lead researchers of the Prueba de pradera nativa at the Farm Hub.
“Farmscape Ecology” will also screen at the Chesapeake Film Festival in October.
