Resource extends to interpreters in the Hudson Valley region and beyond
In September the Language Justice Program released the “Introductory Language Justice Guide: A Resource for Emerging LJ Interpreters and Community.” The 35-page guide includes tips, strategies, templates, and mentorship information on supporting beginning interpreters and much more on how to create a thriving bilingual space – both in person and virtually. At the Farm Hub, our Language Justice team is made up of five bilingual staff who provide interpretation at regular team meetings and work with the Language Justice Program to offer education, and training and to foster a bilingual environment. In addition to the Guide, the Program recently launched the Interpretation Equipment Library through which community organizations can borrow simultaneous interpretation equipment for multilingual events.
