Portraits of Women in Ecology

A special series profiling women ecologists whose work intersects with agriculture

We are excited to share our new “Women in Ecology” series that celebrates the knowledge, talent, and innovation that women ecologists bring to the fields of conservation and agriculture.  The series, made up of both written and video profiles, features seven women whose work connects with the Farm Hub and whose concentrations include insects, turtles, migratory birds, botany, and soil microbiology.  While their areas of expertise and each of their stories are unique, they’re tied together by a shared commitment to wildlife conservation, an interest in the on-farm environment, and a desire to see more expansive opportunities for women entering the field.
