Farming is an art and sometimes it can resemble art.
Below is a drone-produced photo essay — a collaboration with Oceans 8 Films — that reveals the color and contours on the farm that leave much to imagination as summer shifts into autumn. Click below to enjoy the imagery.
The Native Meadow Trial is split into three plots: at two of the sites, seed mixes were planted in varying proportions of grasses to wildflowers, while a third control site was left fallow for comparison.
In 2020 the Native American Seed Sanctuary was renamed Kanenhaká:ion Tsiakwaiénthos: the Akwesasne Seed Rematriation Garden to further honor its roots.
