Organic No-Till Field Day 2022

Organic No-Till Field Day was held on August 4 at the Farm Hub attracting regional farmers and educators. The event highlighted the field trials that are being led by researchers at Cornell University, which examine crop sequences and management techniques for organic no-till production. “Taking Tillage out of Organic Grain Crop Production” seeks to identify successful cover crop and cash crop sequences under no-till farming in grain crop production. Uriel Menalled, a Ph.D. candidate at Cornell, and Matthew Ryan an agroecologist and associate professor at Cornell lead the research initiative, which the Farm Hub has been hosting since 2020.
